FitDutchies on detox cure at Health Holidays – part 2

DETOX HOLIDAY IT IS…

The first three days of my Health Holidays juice cure are: accomplished !! And YES this feels good .. and that’s how I feel (according to circumstances) too!

Let me start with the day planning, in order to have as much structure as possible, this is the same for the whole week:

07:30 The group starts with a beautiful running training, walking through the beautiful mountains of Kaş. This walking training of about 5.7 kilometers is a perfect start of the day and a good way to get the metabolism up and running.

09:00 The first juice may be consumed (party), a fresh lemon juices diluted with water. (Believe me this juice tastes delicious after a walk of almost one and a half hours!)

09:30 Morning juice, also this is freshly prepared with orange, apple and … .. a daily changing fruit. For the necessary sugars.

10:00 Body shape lesson, different group lessons of at least 60 minutes.

“For the afternoon juice (the TURBO: consisting of cucumber and tomato juice) no specific moment has been determined, you can drink it whenever you want and at the moment you need it”

16:00 Aquarobics time, in the pool or the sea, at least 45 minutes.

18:00 Evening juice consisting of a vegetable juice with carrot and cucumber and again a third daily changing vegetables, whose benefits (content and effects) are explained to the group during the juice moment.

The evening is completely free to spend.

Food is not available during the day !!! allowed, water and herbal tea (in more than 50 different flavors, did not even know that they existed haha) may be drunk indefinitely. As a result, the body is purified even faster.

Day 1

After arriving at the beautiful and sunny Club Barbarossa accommodation it was time for the first introduction to the supervision and the other 19 detoxes (a mixed group of men and women in different ages, but all equally enthusiastic and motivated!) While enjoying our first juice.
The first sports lesson was also on the program; aquarobics in the clear blue water, bikini on and go.
After the evening I enjoyed the beautiful view and the sunset afterwards I decided to go to my bed quickly; it was a long and innovative day.

Day 2

The first gait training was a fact, with the whole group we walked the 5.7 kilometers and this felt good, the temperature was still low and I could easily set my own pace and this trip through the mountains was a breeze. Once back at the hotel our “breakfast” was ready. My energy level was not too high, so I could use the HEALTHY sugar shot of the lemon juice and the fruit juice. The bodyshape lesson was good for me, every muscle in my body was activated.

After this lesson, together with 2 other detoxers, I went to Hamam, offered by Health Holidays, the turbo in our bag and ready to enjoy this delicious Turkish wellness experience. At 16:00 we were back for the aqua aerobics class, this was a little less good than the day before, but okay; Stay Positive, I was there.’

Day 3

Also called dip day. I had hoped that it would be easy for me, but unfortunately, I was the only one. Headache was playing. Something that I never really suffer from in the field, but oh how heavy it was. (shame on me)

The walking training in the morning I underwent lead in my shoes, but by my groupmates and the guidance I managed to get through it. But it was not anymore. After the morning juice I retired to my room, I knew for sure: this was not my day! I was determined to stay in bed all day. No way, that I would participate with the bodyshape of 10:00 and the aquarobics of 16:00, “if I pretend to have fallen asleep, then I’ll crash for the rest of the day” but nothing turned out to be less true.

At 10:00 am one of my sports coaches knocked on the door, with the friendly request if I would like to participate anyway. Now I could not escape (SHIT), I had to. But miraculously, after the lesson the energy began to flow through my body again. Thick shout out for the sports supervisors! Without them I might still be lazy and lame in my bed.

During the aqua aerobics class at 16:00, I was the first in the water and I felt great. Wow, I’m still amazed by this boost and have to say; Maybe I am a bit too enthusiastic but if this continues, I will not be able to stop at the end of the week and I will go home.

“Where I previously felt a constant stress through my body, I already notice that I am calmer, both in my body and in my head. Another advantage is that I have lost some weight. What would be the next effects of this treatment? I’m curious and I’ll keep you informed! ”
